1941 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe

Asleep in a barn since 1962, daylight awakens this rare classic car

Rolling out into modern times with the aide of a winch

Six hours of labor to remove the 54 years of critter residue and destruction

A true “barn find”  - soon to be back on the road with a modern drive-train and suspension. More to follow as progress is made...

1974 Ford 302 V8 with a C4 transmission will become the new power-plant to propel the vehicle

Off to RPM Engine Rebuilders and The Frame Garage to rebuild the motor and transmission

Tucked away in the garage, the dismantling begins. A new IFS will be installed, 4 link rear will replace the factory set up.

Dashboard removed - Dakota Digital instrumentation will replace the analog instrument panel along with a new wood grain paint scheme as it was in 1941

Interior from a 1997 Riviera will replace the original.

Off to Deadbroke Hot Rods to separate the cab and chassis

Frame will be blasted to remove rust

Underside will be blasted to find any rust and paint to preserve

Original suspension was remove to install an IFS

Underbelly cleaned up ready for repairs

Rebuilt 302 with RV cam

Rebuilt C4 transmission

Rebuilt rear out of a 94 Mustang GT. 4 Link suspension with coil over shocks

Mocking up the cross member

Mustang II type front suspension with power steering and disc brakes

Four link rear installed

Fuel tank installed

Coil over shocks complete the 4 link Mustang GT rear

Transmission cooler

Ceramic coated Sandersen headers and a  high output starter are installed

New fuel pump, oil filter is a tight removal with the new suspension

Faux mahogany woodgrain painted on the dashboard

Floorboard fits perfectly - no modifications. Gas and brake pedals hung on the firewall.

Battery tray, Edelbrock carb and intake manifold installed

Inner fenders mounted - they'll be removed, media blasted and painted then reinstalled

Boom Mat applied to firewall and floors

Rear seat secured

Starter and alternator wired

Electric fan mounted

Power steering pump installed

Steering column connected and mounted to a temporary support. Steering wheel is temporary.
